Our office is easily accessible, with free parking and convenient extended hours as well as after-hours dental emergencies – Dr. Roman Koutsil is always on call for you!
We accept new dental patients without the need for a referral and look forward to the privilege of being your South Calgary Dental Health provider. Please remember that we require 2 business days’ notice to cancel or reschedule any appointments to allow for other patients to be seen in a timely manner.
To ensure that your first visit at Shawnessy Smiles is pleasant and as comfortable as possible, our team creates a welcoming environment from the moment you walk into our office and are greeted by our administrative team, to the time you enter our treatment rooms. We want you to feel as if you are part of our extended family.
We value your time and will always try to keep your visit as efficient as possible, ensuring that it starts on time and ends on time. We also follow up with you after your visit for you to provide us with your valuable feedback.
Regular dental examinations are very important for every member of your family! New dental patients receive a thorough examination by Dr. Roman Koutsil as he checks for the early signs of gum disease, eroded fillings, TMJ concerns, tooth decay, oral cancer screening, as well as problems with your occlusion (bite).
Please bring your insurance information, including information on your plan details. We will do our best to help you understand your coverage information including your annual and lifetime maximums and whether your plan allows for the assignment of benefits.
Your health and safety are important to us. We will collect a detailed health history from you in order to determine if there are any risks for treatment. In addition, please bring a list of medications you may be taking, including prescription and non-prescription medications to your visit.
If you have x-rays’ from a previous dentist, you can have them released to our office. We will ask you to sign a release form in order for us to obtain them under the Health Information Act of Alberta.
